Bang on time for the market launch of the new Seat Altea, the tuning specialist JE DESIGN from Leingarten, Germany, is presenting its first tuned variant with a host of impressive accessories.

The new Altea has been afforded a power boost, which is produced by reprogramming the ECM and which increases the basic power of the 2.0 TDI engine from 140 bhp to 177 bhp. Following this performance enhancement, the maximum torque is 405 Nm and the top speed 215 km/h. Including fitting and TÜV registration, the power boost costs € 1065.

A comprehensive styling suite for the Altea comprising a front spoiler for € 199, a set of side sills for € 299, a tailgate skirt for € 299, a roof spoiler for € 199, and the roof fin “Shark Attack” for € 29 goes to create a sporty outfit and optimises the aerodynamics of the Altea. All the aerodynamic components are produced in industrial quality, are supplied complete with ABE type approval and, as such, dispense with the laborious task of entry in the vehicle’s documents.

A sporty sound is produced by a stainless steel rear silencer with two 90 mm tailpipes on the left and right, and which is available for € 839 and comes complete with an EC approval certificate. A height-adjustable coilover suspension from stainless steel, which permits the rebound damping to be adjusted even after fitting, allows the suspension to be lowered by around 60 mm and costs € 870. By way of an alternative, JE DESIGN also offers suspension lowering springs for € 134 that match the standard fitted shock absorbers and which lower the Altea by around 35 mm.

A highly polished handle trim set (8 piece) from stainless steel for € 89 and the JE DESIGN B-pillar trim set with stylish chrome embossing for € 99 make the Altea appear to be an altogether higher class vehicle with this classic design.

To ensure that the Altea grips the road well, JE DESIGN offers the VISAGE alloy wheels in the two sizes 7.5 x 17" ET 38 and 8 x 18" ET 35. A single wheel rim in the 17 inch size costs € 299. The complete set of wheels in the 17 inch size is available fitted with 225/45 R 17 Y tyres for the price of € 2349 and fitted with 215/45 R 17 W tyres for € 2149. The 18-inch wheel rim is sold separately for € 329 and as a complete set of wheels fitted with 225/40 R 18 Y tyres for  € 2416.
